The Talley Ho Inn is Changing Names Winter 2026!
Why are we changing the name?
The Talley Ho Inn has always been shaped by the people who cared for it before us and the guests that visited over the years.
As we evolve the hotel into its next chapter, we’re transitioning from the name The Talley Ho Inn, which includes the last name of the founding family (one they wish to keep for their own future endeavors). We do this with deep respect for their legacy and the history they helped build here and to avoid any confusion with the Talley family's future projects and per their request.
The new name reflects our vision for what comes next: a thoughtful, contemporary reimagining of the property that stays rooted in its surroundings. Inspired by the timeless landscapes and traditions of Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Cades Cove, the new name honors where we are, where we’ve been, and the stories still to come.

Stay tuned for the big reveal!

The Talley Ho Inn -
A Travelers Favorite Since The 1950's!
Since opening its doors in the 1950s, this family-owned hotel has welcomed travelers with warm hospitality to the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. Operating under the same owners until 2025, it has long been a beloved retreat for those seeking comfort and connection to nature.
Maintaining the essence of the golden age of American travel, the hotel is currently being thoughtfully modernized by its new owners (another small family business!)—introducing new amenities, luxurious comforts, and fresh design—while preserving the charm and spirit that have defined it for generations.
